Yes, of course. The obvious application to use is Microsoft Word. If you don't have Microsoft Word, you can use the free on-line version of Microsoft Office. Basic Microsoft Office is free. Get it here:

You don't download the free version of Office. You use it on line in your web browser. It takes up no disc space on your hard drive and your files are available to you on every internet connected computer wherever you go. You also get free 25 gig of on-line storage and free file sharing. Microsoft Office saves in standard XML open file format based on open standards, unlike like OpenOffice, which saves in deprecated (discontinued, obsolete) file formats.

If you ahve OSX 10.4 (Tiger) or later, download 'Open Office' andf install it. It can open, edit and save MS Office Documents including XML format. And it free, open source and never expires and has as many functions.

unless you are using open office on the mac, it opens all formats. you can check it out at openoffice.org
