URGENT Microsoft Word can not be launched error - 10661?

Hello,
I am in a big hurry to turn in a project today and all of a sudden I can not open word. My computer (MAC 10.4) is not recognizing the program. What can I do???? The rest of the Office works fine. Please, help me.

Try donloading Open Office. It's free software. Check it has a Mac version. Looking at the website it is multi-platform and will run on any computer which can run XML. If Open Office Writer cannot open your documents, your files may be corrupted. I suggest you use whatever the Mac equivalent of Wordpad is and see if you can spot what's wrong. It would be a good idea to back up your registry and run a virus check.

try re-downloading it. if that doesn't work. use appleworks. the mac word program. mac's are very sensitive with micosoft programs. it had to be installed correctly or it won't work.

Do you have the original cd? uninstall it and reinstall it...
