Question:
If I remove an email account from Outlook 2007, then set it up with Outlook 2010, will I lose all my emails?

I want to install Microsoft Office 2010, so I will need to remove all the old Office 2007 programs first, however I have an email account set up with Outlook... so in removing 2007, will all my emails go with it, or will they reappear once I have configured it with 2010?

it depends. if it was set up as a pop3 account then you need to back it up first (think it's a .pst file). if it's imap all the email will be kept on the server and isn't stored locally on your outlook 2007. regardless of which protocol it was set to, always back it up before uninstalling or upgrading. some links on how to go from 2007 to 2010:

You should just Install Office 2010 - you don't need to remove 2007.

Office programmes are designed to overwrite previous versions - i can still find the 2007 folders (Office 12 i think they are - Office 14 being the 2010 version) on my PC.
