How to add in Video Clips

To add in a picture select Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie From File

Please note: The Video is not embedded

Video is not embedded into the presentation - only linked. This means that if you email the presentation then the video will not work. The solution to this is to email both the video and the presentation at the same time.

Watch the length of video clips

If you are including video clips into a presentation make sure that they are short and snappy. We find that up to 45 seconds works best. We find that audiences typically get very twitchy after watching 60 seconds of video. If you have a longer clip the we suggest that you cut it down to shorter clips.

Video Editing software

There are a lot of software packages that will enable you to cut down a video clip in length. Perhaps the most popular is Windows Movie Maker. This is included in the latest version of Windows XP and can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/default.mspx

For PowerPoint 2007

Add a video clip: open your presentation, go to "Insert" tab on ribbon and you will find the "movie" tag in "Media clips" group, click it to browse and import your video.

Add music: Click "Insert" tab and go to "Sound button" in "Media Clips" group. Click the arrow beneath the word "Sound", from its drop-down list, select "Sound from File", and then locate to the music file which you want to add.

depending on the version, you go to insert, then movies and sounds... for both.

you can embed them as well, contrasry to the second answer, but you do this when saving the presentation...and it takes up more space.

of course it. for ex. if you have the word 'video', u right click it and go to hyperlink. click on the last one on the left side. and copy/ paste the youtube webiste onto the hyperlink. when you see your overall presentation you can click on the word that says video and it sends u to the youtube clips. hope i helped! good luck : - )
