Hello,

Recently my computer started acting up. I would select a program from the start menu, and it would open up the Desktop folder, containing everything that is located on my desktop. If I tried opening a browser, it would not open and just open the desktop folder.

If I clicked the browser from the opened desktop folder, it would not open either. I eventually decided to boot in safe mode and do a system restore. Everything seems to be working now, but does anyone have any idea what was up? 10 points.

Sometimes these little quirks may happen, it happened to me but not on such a grand scale as it did to you. Normally this means that by some random process the shortcut, becomes a shortcut of the desktop folder, which has the shortcut that leads to the desktop folder, (why you couldn't get on the internet)

I don't know how this happens but these are just normal quirks. Happened once to me.

Either that or you had a virus.

Happened to me when I screwed around in the registry, value probably got corrupted, or was changed by malware or a third party program that was installed

purely press PrtSc/SysRq button and the demonstrate would be copied at history reminiscence . Now open Paint and click Edit in Menu bar and choose paste to stick the copied demonstrate in paint .Now shop the photograph as >jpeg/>jpg in shop As option.
