Will downloading a different version of utorrent erase my current downloads?

I have uTorrent version 2.0.4 and i want to download 2.2. Will this remove my current downloads?

Nope. Utorrent is VERY good about this. It checks for newer versions every once in a while (unless you turn the option off) and if it finds one, it notifies you and offers to upgrade to the newer version. If you elect to upgrade, the installer closes down the current version and saves all settings, and then launches the setup program to install the upgrade. After the setup program is done, the installer cleans up any temporary files and restarts Utorrent which then picks up exactly where it left off. You lose NOTHING at all except some connection TIME while the upgrade is being installed. Like I said, these guys are really good about an "in-place" upgrade.

Not at all, all of your downloads are saved in a folder on your hard drive, not on the uTorrent program itself.
