Photoshop. Changing the channel from Gray to RGB?

So, in my drawing, the label on the blue thing is ____.psd @ 100% (Layer, Gray).
I need to change that gray in the parentheses to RGB.D:<
I don't know which type of Photoshop I have, but in my Start thing, it says Adobe Photoshop 7.0? -clueless-

Go to menu item Image>Mode>RGB.



Note this will change the document to RGB colour mode allowing you to add colour but it will not put colour into the picture as such, it will still look like a black and white image on screen until you manually add colour.

that is hard to photograph what you're describing. on your template: have you ever tried going to photograph>Mode>RGB? and then upload colour/desature your pictures seperately over photograph>transformations>Hue/Saturation or with the aid of including Hue/Saturation Clipping mask to each and each photograph. i'm hoping this enables

you usually do it in mode and i change it from greyscale to rgb.
