I have made two tables on excel, and then I pasted them onto Microsoft word and on the computer, the grid-lines show up, but when I print them out they are no where to be found. How do I make the grid-lines show up when printed?

Thank you in advance.

Before pasting the tables into Word

Make sure that table have borders

That is selecting the table and Press CTRL+1

Then go to border tab, here set the borders you want

after doing this, you can copy and paste it in Word with the borders

I am assuming in Excel you have grid lines only so of course one option is to put borders in at source or, when you have pasted into Word, it is still table format so merely right click in top left box that appears left of whole table. This highlights the table and displays the sub menu. Select borders and shading, then select the All option.

They look grey on the computer, right?

Go to thr upper-right hand of the table, you should see a small box with a target-cross looking thing inside it. Right click on that, choose "table properties" and select "borders". You should get a small, but specific menu of the choices.

There should also be a border's menu on the main word menu - look for a small box with an arrow next to it. If you click on the arrow, you'll see a small pull-down menu of the different kinds of borders (outer only, top, side, all-grid, etc). Remember to highlight the table when making your selection.
