If this is a program you are trying to install and you downloaded it than go ahead and download the software again. Check that it is a 32 bit application or that your OS is not 64 bit.

If it is the OS you are trying to install, then try to get a new CD because it might be corrupt. You cannot install a 64bit OS from a 32 bit OS. If it is the OS you are trying to reinstall boot from the CD.

Hope it helps. If you need more help you can contact me here

It looks as though you're trying to run your Windows CD from inside Windows. This won't work. You need to boot from the CD. i.e. Start your computer up with the CD in the CD/DVD drive, but change the boot sequence in your BIOS. Watch your screen when you first turn on your computer and it will most likely tell you which key to press to enter your BIOS.

Change the boot sequence so that it looks for your CD/DVD drive first, and your hard drive next.

Save it, and then restart your computer.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: www.pchealthboost.me

Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

+From what I researched, there are several possible causes to this error. Please go to the link provided below for explanations. Unless you are getting this constantly with every application, I do not recommend reformatting.

More likely is that the file has corrupted during the download. The only answer is to try another download.
