Whenever I go to any site that requires Java script or Flash player, it' says I either have Java turned off, or i need to install flash player. Java is on, and I've installed the flash player a million times. I can't uninstall the old ones because 'My security settings don't allow it.' Help. I really need these two things to work. I would really, really appreciate it.

Java and JavaScript are two different and entirely unrelated things. Enabling Java won't help you.

Are you sure your browser has JavaScript enabled? In Internet Explorer it's referred to as "active scripting".

Make sure you are using Firefox. Some browsers like IE and konqueror can have some problems with this for some reason. If you're on a mac, you might want to use Camino (which is Firefox but made for the mac).

When you visit a site that needs one of these plugins, Firefox will automatically prompt you to install them.

This is sometimes due to your ISP(internet service provider) dont worry just call and tell them the service is messing up you'll probably need to reset router or w/e, trust me ive had this problem like 10 times it will return to normal in a day or so
