I play a computerized board game downloaded from the internet. I have it downloaded on a mac at home, and a computer at my college library that is a windows pc. The game program saves games as files in a folder called "saved games". The library pc is extremely limited in what you can do (i'm surprised that i was even able to download the game onto it, and it took a couple tries doing different things jumping through hoops to get it installed) and the only way i could get the file back home to continue the game there (it's a game that can take many hours, and don't exactly want the time I already spent on it wasted) was to email it to myself. when i got home the file was there, and I dragged it into the "saved games" folder. Unfortunately the mac version is different from the pc version. The mac version uses files with the extension "tsvg" and the pc uses files with the extension "xml". Is there a way to convert the xml file to a tsvg file, using my mac? I did a little searching online and could not find stuff about tsvg files, but found stuff about tsv files. so I think they may be the same thing.

First I would try just opening up the XML file in a text editor like notepad and saving it as a file extension (.tsvg), it is possible that they are actually just the same thing with a different extension.

Secondly:

XML files are just a standard created on how data should be transferred, if you open up the file in a text editor like notepad, you should a bunch of 'tags' such as:

asdf

It may be possible that the tsvg file has similar fields but a different layout, save a sample tsvg version and compare the two in the text editor, you may be able to just edit your way through there.

If your site is new and not yet indexed, the simplest thing is to

submit a plain-text sitemap with only your home page URL,

http://www.your-site.com/

It is important that you have crawlable links in your pages, so bots can find the other URLs from your links.

The sitemap helps with indexing, but it is not absolutely essential for the sitemap to contain all the URLs you want indexed,

(if the URLs can be found from crawlable links),

if it is difficult for you to do a complete sitemap.
