Is there a usb download/patch for Microsoft millennium edition?

My mother has a mirosoft millennium edition on her computer. Yet, it doesn't seem to read USB port or connect with any USB scanner, or anything. Help.

Yes. It's called windows xp.

You probably have a 1.1 USB connection. Change to 2.0 connection. Try installing a card into the PCI slot to change the connection type. Also, keep in mind that there maybe some hardware that wont install into Millennium Edition. You may have to download drivers for the hardware via their website.

ME is junk. Friend of mine says it stands for multiple errors. He's an IT man. I have had to replace it twice. At the time I used Windows 2000, but now I would put XP on it. By the way, there is no longer support for ME.

Ouch that brings back night mare memories, of ME.. I hated that operating sytem and even microsft has admitted it was the worst O.S they ever build. email me and i will reply with detailed instructions. that should sort you out.. low battery power so cant put it all in here right now.... hope u understand.. good luck
