Connie is correct. Those saying Linux is not for mobile do not know what Linux really is. As Connie stated Linux is the kernel not the OS. You can find the Linux kernel on laptop, server, phone, cd/dvd players, GPS devices, media players, radios, or anything that need firmware.

So it is not A, nor B (as Connie stated), nor D because Linux is not an OS. So it is C.

There is a Windows mobile called Windows Phone and I think Android is the most used because I know many people with an Android. Android is based on Linux. I believe Nokia also made a Linux based phone.

Linux is a kernel and phone OSes like Android, Tizen, Bado and the vapour-ware Ubuntu phone all have Linux on-board

Android is built on top of Linux and is used on mobile phones, computers and tablets

Windows Mobile (used to be called Windows CE) used to be used on phones and some PDAs

Windows XP has never been on a phone as it requires x86 hardware, and x86 phones have only just appeared on the scene. Windows 7 and Windows 8 have phone versions of their OS
