I saved a file and worked more on it then saved it again when i shouldn't have. I need the old version back before the 2nd save.

Sorry, but once a document has been written over and closed, what was there is gone.

Do you have a backup server? If this is at work and the previous version was saved prior to backup (usually every evening in most offices) the IT person in your office can easily retrieve it if supervisor feels worth the resources required.
If above is the situation be sure to get it done today because the next backup may override depending on if your office has multi-day backups or not. Varies greatly depending on industry, company size etc.
Hope this was helpful.

Have you closed the file? If not, undo and undo until you're back to the first version. If you've closed the file, there may be the option of restoring the previous version. Locate the icon using My Computer, highlight it and look in the File and Folder Tasks on the left. This is where the option to restore is located. Good luck.
