I go onto the website and click on download but I don't have that box where you can tick it to download it.
All it says:
GIMP releases available from gimp.org and its mirrors contain the source code and have to be compiled in order to be installed on your system.
GIMP 2.6.8 is now available at ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/v2.6/. You may want to read the Release Notes for GIMP 2.6.
To allow you to check the integrity of the tarballs, here are the MD5 sums of the latest releases:

what do i do thenn???

here is the ACTUAL download link... i copied it from the download page.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win/files/GIMP%20%2B%20GTK%2B%20%28stable%20release%29/GIMP%202.6.8%20%2B%20GTK%2B%202.16.6/gimp-2.6.8-i686-setup.exe/download

when the you enter the page a pop up will ask you SAVE or CANCEL its a binary file. Click SAVE and choose a place.

now go to the file that you downloaded and double click.

Now install.

Download a free version of GIMP on this site: [link]

GIMP is a great free software you can use for a lot of graphic tasks like retouching photo, image and photo editing). I strongly believe GIMP is the best free tool for photo editing available online nowadays. It's as good and as powerful as photoshop but GIMP can be use also used by a lot of professionals.
