I am after an automatic program to copy a cd or dvd with any contents into an iso image when disc is inserted?

You need to find CD duplicator software and then tell your computer to run that program every time you put a disc in, for Linux it wouldn't be very hard just make a string of code(using K3b) then tell your OS to perform this function every time you put a disc in. For Windows, search for command prompt function. Then make a batch file with the command functions you will need, tell Windows to perform this function every time you put in a disc and turn off Autorun option.

cdburn : [options]



and a batch file is a file with an extension ".bat" that simply executes a list of command prompt functions.
