Adobe After Effects, Image with a transparent background have a box around it.. I am trying to put a shine effect on the logo but the effect wont pass the invisible border around the image... I made the image background transparent in photoshop, i import it in after effects and it shows that is transparent but any effect i add to the image wong pass the invisible edges of the logo.. how do i remove this?

Make sure your image is is in png format or another that supports alpha channels.

But the easiest way for me to get that "transparent" background out is to mask it out. You can either do that in Photoshop and import it back in as a composition or in After Effects both using the pen tool.

Actually if I had the actual blue background you can make the background of the image the same color..... Email me.

either use the ' grow borders ' effect or pre compose the layer then add the shine effect
