I've even told by the local PC shop owner and from the manufacturer of my computer that it is recommended you let windows install all the drivers for you?
There are 2 different Nvidia websites to download from: www.geforce.co.uk and www.nvidia.co.uk does it matter which you use? I've also noticed the version of the graphics driver windows downloads isn't on those 2 websites. The other question is: Are motherboard drivers necessary and should I download them off the disc or on the website because I have an ASUS P8H77-M LE. If it's best to download them off the website which do I download because there are lots of different types. Thanks.

If you're asking about graphic CARD driver then you're recommended to install its driver which is compatible to your Operating System for better performance.

You can find graphic card information in "System Information" tool which you'll get in "System Tools" in "All Programs". Search the driver in Google with the help of info you got form System Information.

OR

If you're talking about motherboard graphic drivers then simply click the following link https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H77M_LE/#support and select Drivers & Tools --> Select your OS-->download VGA and install.

Normally Windows7 and newer version install motherboard drivers but it will not give a better performance.

This depends, what is your video card? Do you have an NVIDIA Video card to install NVIDIA Drivers? The drivers you install should be corresponding to the video card you have on your computer, in your case if you have an Asus you can get your drivers from the official website here, this is the page for the model you provided in the description- http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P8H77-M%20LE&os=8 But I STRONGLY Recommend not using this site on your own if you find it difficult to understand the downloads for the drivers, also note when downloading the drivers that you have to match the specs of your computer to the driver, FOR EXAMPLE if you have a 64-BIT Windows 7 ASUS P8H77-M LE download the drivers for that OS and Model, then go down to VGA or Audio or anything to download the ones you want :) Good luck , if you have difficulty downloading call a computer engineer to help you download them.

Windows only installs a basic driver for keeping your PC working but after installation you can download the driver from any NVIDIA website.
