I am trying to do an assignment for one of my classes and I have recently had to switch to using a Mac because my PC crashed. I am using Excel and I'm supposed to click the Create from Selections button on Formulas ribbon to display the Create Names from Selection dialog box. However, I cannot find this on mine. The only thing I see is a button that says "Insert Name" and it will not allow me to click on it. I'm not sure how to fix this. Or is it not available with my program?
Please let me know if anybody can help me out with this!!

Select a range or an object. Then, in the Name box (the box just above cell A1 that shows you which cell name is selected) type a name for the selection, then press Enter or Return.

You can also use the dialog you get from Insert > Name > Define. In the dialog, click the little button near the lower right corner and then drag over the cell range you wish to name. In the empty field at the top of the dialog type the name you wish to give the range, and then click the Add button.

There are a few ways to create names for a selection.

In the area above A1, type in a name for the cells selected and hit enter.

Select the range and under the Formula Tab, Define Names group, choose Define Name and type in a name.

Select the range and under the formula Tab, Define Names Group, choose Create from Selection. A number of choices appropriate to your selection will be given to you.

The above are for Excel 2007 but should be close to what is available to you using a Mac.
