That is a very subjective statement and not really true. Historically Microsoft have not been the most popular company in the world mainly for peoples views on their complete dominance of the computer market. Dominance at this level normally means lack of competition, price control and bad value for consumers and a lot of people did feel this way about Microsoft. However this is no longer applicable in this day and age where despite Microsoft windows still dominating the laptop and PC market, companies like Apple, Blackberry and Google [who produce android] are not only competing against Microsoft in the various new mobile and tablet markets but thrashing them.

I have seen some comments in the press that suggest with Apples ipad range having over 75% dominance of the tablet market that from the consumer point of view that they are "the new Microsoft" and should be despised for that dominance. Ridiculous in my opinion, if have never hated Micosoft and don't hate Apple now and I think that these days people are less inclined to feel this way about a dominant force in any marketplace. Apples dominance of the tablet market is down to them making the best tablet [ipad] and how can you hate a company for that. There are always choices, however limited, and the consumer need only buy what they want. Hate is an ugly and outdated concept in this instance.

Microsoft is the worst computer application corporation... different than for all of those different application companies.
