im having major problems with windows media player if anyone can help me, ur the best because no one can!
it wont let me play certain videos, an error message comes up and it says: C00D11CD: Unknown error
Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to Windows Media Player.

Error ID = 0xC00D11CD, Condition ID = 0x00000000

im not sure why because they used to work and all the sudden they stopped working?

now heres the other catch.. my old videos from my old camera work but not these. but they USED to, and out of no where they stopped.

i tried re installing WMP and i ran all sorts of scans i dont knw what else todo!

There are many types of reasons I've come up with but I will give my 2 best reasons:

1. Windows Media Player might have a file-component problem.

2. Windows Media Player might have been affected by another program. How is it possible? Well, there are some programs out there who have errors causing other programs to be unstable or inactive. There might be a program that might be affecting its status. It could be a program that might be using WMP.

Solutions:

1. Since your Windows Media Player won't install, the best thing to do is to find a substitute for it. Here are the best ones that I can give:

1.1 Quicktime player

- supports media files such as (MOV,MPG,MP3)

Download mirror:

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

1.2 GOM Player

-plays almost ALL media file types including FLV(Youtube video file).

download mirror:

http://www.gomplayer.com/main.html

2. Contact Microsoft about the problem for more support for the problem stated.

it could have been a utility glitch, dont complication approximately it till it does it back, i understand you may remake your playlists yet i think of wmp 11 is the terrific wmp so far, dont hear to those that slag them off, by all ability replace your media participant in case you like yet any software could have a glitch
