There is an application called InfranView that allows you to load a image into a image viewer, but then turn off most of the window frame. So you only see the image itself.. not anything else. The problem is that it you can not turn off the very edge of the window frame itself.

Is there any windows applications that allows you to load a image, place it on the screen, set it to always on top and then remove all traces of the window frame, so it looks like the image is just floating there?

If it also had the ability to use transparency, so transparent areas of the image you could see the desktop or application space under it as well .. then that would be perfect... but just the windowless image viewing is the main thing i am looking for,

Thanks in advance

I've been looking for the answer to this question for a long time now and finally (with the right key words on my Google searches) I've found it. It's a simple program called Osiva. All you do is drag the images you'd like to display and then hide the toolbar. I tried it out on only one photo so far, but it produced the exact results that I wanted and I had to come tell you immediately. I love it. I've included a link for the application here. Just download the .exe file and the program will start right up.
