How do I customize my resolution in Windows XP in a Virtual Box?

My primary OS is Ubuntu, a GNU/Linux Distribution, and for compatibility sake, if WINE doesn't work *In which in my case WINE normally doesn't, but I do know that WINE can play a lot of things, like Crysis 2 for instance, in which I saw a Youtube video on* for me, I can rely on a Windows XP Virtual Machine. I can only fit 1024x768 on the screen instead of anything larger. I have a 1440x900 resolution monitor. I want to make a customized resolution to fit my screen size so it won't conflict with anything. Is there anything I can do?

did you install the guest additions on xp?. idk if the linux version has that. if that fails. i always go with dualbooting, i use several different distros and windows releases for different reasons, i don't often emulate or run VM software though, so i'm just doing the best i can here, hope it helps

as much as now as i understand, that's impossible for an OS in Virtualbox to do any harm on your device. the academic seems reliable. i opt to advise giving it a pair hundred GB's of area in a dynamic force nonetheless. That way you will no longer run out of area in Ubuntu or waste any the way a fixed disk does. i'm uncertain approximately moving from the centred visitor to host immediately, yet you could burn disks and write to exterior drives from the digital OS.

When virtualbox starts go to the Settings and and then the Display tab and see if you can allocate more video ram for the guest system.
