How do I get Limewire to stop popping up automatically everytime I start my computer?

Everytime I start up my computer, LimeWire starts. And even after I "X" out of it, it will pop back up a few seconds later unless I go play the Sims or something. What do I do!?

Start.. Run.. msconfig OK

Startup tab...find the program, and uncheck it.



While you are there, any thing else you see that you recognize, and dont NEED running, uncheck them too.



click OK, choose Restart.

it is probably because it is in your startup menu. go to start...then run...type in mscofig...this will bring you to your startup menu...go to last tab and look for limewire. Take check mark out of that...then restart computer...you will then get a message that you have changed something...just put a checkmark for don't show me again...just put a shortcut on your desktop...then you can click on it when you want to go to limewire...good luck

Listen Delete Limewire, it crashes you're computer over time. Use Bearshare 100x safer.

Forget Limewire... Get demonoid and bitcomet instead.



Also, you get less trash, fewer viruses and it's faster, and I find I get more search results.

Go to tools and Pop-up blocker and change the filter setting to higher

Go into the options menu and turn off automatic start up.

in the newest version you go to tools select options. click advanced on the side then click system startup. Remove the check mark from beside run on system startup. then click ok and your done
