Internet Explorer -- Enabling Add-ons?? Help?

How do I enable Internet Explorer Add-Ons?
I deleted some unused files to add some space. My Internet explorer shortcut was removed from my desktop. I go to my start menu and my internet explorer said No Add-Ons. So I click on my IE and it said, "All Internet Explorer add-ons, such as ActiveX controls or toolbars, are turned off. Some webpages might not display correctly.
To continue to your home page, click the Home button.
To browse using add-ons, close Internet Explorer and then start it again."

How do I enable them?
It said that to enable Add-Ons, go to Tools, Manage Add-Ons. It's not letting me click on it. It is dim and not dark to click on.
thank you

That icon is for the 'no add-ons' version of IE; you'll need to find the one you're use to (add-on enabled);

Start> My Computer> 'c' drive> Programs> Internet Explorer: inside the folder should be an icon "IE", copy that, close the widow, and 'paste' the icon where you normally would have it.

It would be nice if you tell us what are you trying to do and what kind of add-on you are trying to install. You can manage add-ons if you click on tools internet options then program tab and click on manage add-ons.
