every time I try ebay I get a dialog box that freezes my pc. It say Silverlight.Configuration.exe,?

published by microsoft corp. there is a box for allow or disallow and a box that says don't show me this again. But I can't check any box. It totally freezes everything. I did a Norton scan last night showing 0 problems. In fact, I am having no other problems except that I now have to sign in every single dang time I try to get to my homepage. This is a new problem. In face my pc says this Silverlight was not even installed until May of 2012. Please please help. Will it harm anything if I delete the thing? I have a compaq parsario desktop, 6 years old. I am disabled and need simple instructions. Please help if you can.

If you don't know what is silverlight you don't need it. Don't worry, you can uninstall it, it won't harm your computer.
