Just uninstall your Microsoft.Net framework (that's where dfshim.dll points to).

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add and remove Programs

Go down and you should see something like Microsoft.Net Framework 1.1 or 3.0 or 2.0 or something like that.

Uninstall it.

If you need that framework, just install it from microsoft's site. Google it or type the version number into their site.

Any file name can be a virus, so always research before you assume it's a virus.

Are you trying to start a program that needs it or something?

That file was actually a virus and was removed by your antivirus. However, your computer is still trying to load the virus on startup.

To get that error message to stop popping up, go Start->Run and type in MSCONFIG. Then go to the Startup tab and deselect that DLL file.
