I have Snow Leapord 10.6, but on apple.com it said that all intel based macs support windows 7 except for my model and a few others. Does this mean I can't even install windows 7 on my computer? (I have Windows 7 in front of me)

I have 2 gb of ram, 2.0 ghz, intel core duo.

You could try dual booting from the install disk, but not sure if the disk will allow a boot this way. Try WINE - www.wine.org . It is an emulator of windows type files.

Seems weird but that is what they say about a few models, apparently the earliest Macs dual core processors didn't support virtualization mode. Remember when they first went to Intel chips they didn't support dual booting of Macs at all.

That changed when the new cpu's they started installing did support vrtualization mode, modders came up with the software installation that allowed dual booting with windows. Dual booting became so popular with Mac owners that Apple came up with their own version called Boot Camp.

i'm a Mac person and that i like it. I additionally use abode windows 7 and Linux so there isint incredibly quite some a bias. i like my MacBook because of the fact it is gentle weight, stable and it merely works. in case you have self assurance you will choose abode windows quicker or later you could deploy the two on the laptop and it will run wonderful, That way you have got the appropriate of the two. additionally video games preform greater appropriate in case you install abode windows on it as pix card drivers are as much as date greater oftentimes than Mac. one component I do propose is that in case you do come to a determination to get an apple laptop, don't get the retina reveal ones. they might not be upgraded, on the regular ones the complicated force and the ram could be upgraded with little to no attempt. additionally such as you pronounced you at the instant are not doing any arts proper classes so the greater advantageous cost of a retina MacBook does not look nicely worth it.
