I put a my friends pen drive in my computer and i didnt realise it had virus. Now every time i switch on my computer i get a message saying

"Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\KHATRA.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search."

Could you give me way to remove this. Guys please help its urgent.

Well first of all, if that PD had virus, it might be possible, that virus has entered your PC.



So first of all, install the trial version of Bitdefender 2010.



You cannot delete that khatra.exe because that virus will keep producing it again.



Install that anti-virus, scan your PC, delete all the virus, restart your PC, and check if your problem has been solved.



If your system files are damaged, best way is to format your PC and put new Windows along with Anti-Virus.

if its a rootkit then you will need expert help,



some rootkits cannot be detected by 'normal' antivirus programs, you will need a dedicated rootkit revealer and remover,
