why can't my realplayer play .avi files?

whenever i wanna play .avi file this error message comes up. it plays the movie for 1 second but theres a green screen flashing then the message comes up. whats wrong? how can i fix it? is there any other good mdia players that can play .avi files? thansks in advance.

What does the error message say? Have you tried playing it using Windows Media Player or any other player?



You may not have the necessary codec, or the file may be corrupted and unable to play.

you must have a avi splitter downloaded in order to play all avi files ... go to freecodecs and you will find all the video and audio codecs you need in packs :)

download VLC media player you can play in that
