Playing a video in Microsoft PowerPoint...?

I'm trying to play a video in a PowerPoint presentation. I know how to insert it, get it to play, etc.; my only problem is that the video was taken on it's side, and I want it to be properly oriented when it plays. I know you can't rotate videos in PowerPoint, but I have other editing software that I used to correct the orientation...now the corrected video won't play, however. It plays in the editing software, in Windows Media Player, etc., just not when I load it in PowerPoint...although the original sideways file still plays when I load that one in.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

By any chance did you use Windows Move Maker, if so; make sure that you actually saved a MOVIE type file and not just the PROJECT file ;), this happens to many.

What format did you export the edited/corrected video to ? Have you made sure the original was for example an .avi and you didn't save it as an .mpg ? Can you also check the size, in case the output definition is too high and therefore PPT cannot properly play it because of the file's weight ?

You insert Quicktime video clips into PowerPoint precisely the comparable way which you place wmv information into PowerPoint. To play wmv information on Macs, you could desire to installation Flip4Mac and Perian. Do you have a Mac to objective on till now your presentation/ it is extremely useful to (basically in case).
