Every time I click on a link on yahoo.com, that contains music, it opens windows media player and tells me my computer is running low on memory, close other running programs. There are no other running programs, I just added additional 512MB RAM, I used defrag and disk cleanup. The only time it does this is off of a link on line. I can open windows media player and it plays anything else just fine.

Data on HDD can be compressed but message you are getting is about Physical memory that is RAM. You can correct it by increasing virtual memory or page file size. To increase your virtual memory or page file size open control panel double click system folder on opening page click advanced than Tick before Adjust for best performance & click apply(it will take a while). Than click advanced in coming window you will find virtual memory click setting. Select drive on which you want your virtual memory to be.Choose other than primary partion, then click custom and change the Page file size or virtual memory size by typing.

Initial size should be 1024 MB at least & max size should be not less than 2048 MB. You are done after applying restart PC. On booting try to click that link & you will not get that message.

oh dear, you need just two things,

**open an internet explorer page.

Click <>

Select <>

Then select delete files:

This will delete all the temporary internet Files on your computer.

**You may also want to delete the cookies

Here is likely what was happening.

Temporary Internet opnes each time you open the I.E window, this pulls great resources from your RAM and in cases of small RAM sizes, it tends to pull from your processor. This then slows down your computer and the windows info.dll file reports, such errors.

Tmp.Internet files are not very important, they are cached copies of all internet pages you've ever visited.

One bad things is that, as many webmanster update their sites, they change some graphic icons, ads' hotspot and hyperlink infos on their page and sometimes delete an entire page. but your temporary internet files get bulkier with those unwanted or stale files.

In computer operations, internet applications is studied to pull more of system resources than any other minor apps such as word or ms excel. because it is a open standard platform. You can think of an internet application as an operating system on its own.

because, there you can run so many programs just like adobe reader, macromedia flash, apple, java appltes, servlets, and other webmail clients.

each time your internet apps is started, it contacts all of these external interfaced programs which it uses to operate. it alerts them even in silent (stealth) mode in case the pages you're about to open requires any of their service.

**** This is why the micorosft info.dll reports that "close any any other running application"

Besides if you're runing windows vista, you should have less of these problems, with Internet explorer 7 and d new windows.dll it has capability to trim unwanted temp files and manage the amount of system resources your I.E pulls from the processor and the front side bus (Memory)

Pls retart your windows when you finish the let me know if it works.

My first suggestion would be to go to pcpitstop.com sign up and run the test, they usually give you detailed information of what is happening with your pc and how to fix it.to run an

Second an antispyware like adaware, search for the free version in the website under product downloads ( www.lavasoftusa.com )

Next would be to run an antivirus program like avg

which is free. ( free.grisoft.com )

If that doesn't help run something like ccleaner also free (www.ccleaner.com) see if that helps.

Lastly if all of that didnt work reimage your computer.

DO NOT USE THE COMPRESS DRIVE.

Any questions just email me, I'll be glad to help.

Yes, it will give you more drive space, but depending on the size of your drive and the power of your processor, may also slow it down a little.
