I'd like to give a strong recommendation for http://www.frevvy.com/ (http://www.frevvy.com/) for Microsoft keys and software.

I was looking for a windows 7 copy, and from experience I've come to understand that buying online is actually a lot cheaper than for instance in my local store.. So I somehow ended up on san-kom but it seemed a bit, well, not reliable?.. So I made much reaseach on this site. No negitive feedback.

I decided to give it a try, found the cheapest ever copy, put the copy in cart and started the checkout. From here on it actually went alot easier, I paid with paypal and about 1hrs i recieved my key in email, and about 5 mins later a download link for the ISO file. The key worked perfectly! surprise surprise, its legit!..I sent the customer support a thank you message, and they responded immediatly. Kudos!

I will definitely come back to their website again!

If you don't know Linux I strongly recommend getting to know it first.

I recommend an eight gig flash drive, which you can sometimes get for like twenty bucks. Once you have it running and all, I also -- strongly -- recommend looking up "Unix tutorial" and trying it on your Linux system. You will be learning how to use the command line which will make it a lot easier to understand what is going on in Linux since so many of our applications are front-ends for command line programs. But one of the advantages of Linux is it is so portable and we can have Live CDs for anything -- and be on six OSes before noon without installing them if that's what we want. There is no reason to commit yourself to even a dual boot until you decide that you really would rather use Linux than Windows. Some people genuinely hate Linux. Use a live CD or a flash drive.

I'm currently using Vista and Ubuntu (and Snow Leopard). Like so many things in computing, it depends upon what you need to do. If you're looking for a server, definitely go with Linux. If you only plan to do word processing and web surfing, or you do development, go with Linux. If you're into gaming or A/V editing, Windows would be a better platform.

Hi there,

first of all; you do not have to buy Linux Mint. You can download and burn your own Live CD or you can order a free one. (no charge...not even shipping and handling).

I am using Linux MInt on one computer and Ubuntu on another computer and a third computer is running Windows & Premium.

Linux Mint is very good but not all your hardware will have drivers. The operating system is very good though.

Windows 7 is better and most of your hardware will work.

I recommend Windows 7 Premium for you.

Hope this helps,

Al

Firstly you do not buy Linux Mint as it is open source and free to download

I thoroughly recommend Linux Mint 8 Main Edition which is built upon Ubuntu 9.10 Its easy to install and easy to use plus it comes with much of the software you are likely to need preinstalled
