In Microsoft Word how do I make a nice frame around text; not box text line. Viewed process but now can't find

In Microsoft Word I typed a recap of a family reunion in different fonts and colors with some clip art. I decided to put a frame around the text and came across the directions to do so. (I didn't want a plain line like a text box line). The examples even showed one that had some squiggily line type frames. The next day I tried to find the directions for placing a frame around the text, and all I could find were directions for placing text lines around text or lines around tables. Does anyone know how I can access the drop down or sub drop down menu about how to create frames around a document? Please answer if you do.

Find an image online of the cool frame you want (google images is good or search for 'frames' or 'borders'). copy and paste it into your word document. Right click on the image and choose 'Format picture', then Layout, then click on 'behind text', then click on 'Advanced', and the 'picture position' tab, and UNcheck the 'move object with text' box. (leave the 'allow overlap' box checked).



Now, put the image behind the text you wish to frame - adjusting the size of the image by dragging on the corner of it if you need to, to still be able to see the frame AND the text. Save the document.



This is what I do because the choices in Word kinda suck.

Select the text.

Go to Format: borders and shading

Select setting, style (which includes squiggly lines), and width



Remember you can use ctrl-y to repeat the process after selecting a new block of text.

Microsoft Clipart Gallery has a lot of frames and borders.



Download the frame.

Right-click it, order = send to the back

Right-click on the clipart, order = bring to the front

drag the image over the frame, then resize them to fit.
