I have been keeping an eye on the cpu usage, and became worried when I realized that it has been resting at about 60%, and that is without me really running anything on the computer. Today, though, it is bouncing back and forth between about 10 percent and 100 percent and I don't know what is wrong.
The task manager doesn't show anything unusual using up a lot of cpu, but there are A LOT of .exe processes going that I do not recognize, all using 0-3% cpu.
I ran I virus scan recently (last week) and it didn't find anything, and I don't want to run it right now with the cpu like it is because I am afraid it will crash the computer. What should I do? I really need my computer to be working right now. I am a student and have a lot of work to do.
