Problem with sending mail from Outlook Express with yahoo account?

I want to send mail from Outlook Express from now on and i have an problem.I can't send any messages from Outlook because of some error.I cannot send because i can't log on to server "smtp.mail.yahoo.com". I enter my user name and password and i click OK.After a few seconds i get the same log on screen,and it can't stop.I know my login and password so i don't know why is this repeating like it is not correct.

go to TOOLS and select accounts

click the mail tab and select add > mail

enter your name, then your email address



for incoming mail server put:

pop.mail.yahoo.com



for outgoing mail server put:

smtp.mail.yahoo.com



Then enter your account name and password then click finish



Under the mail tab again, highlight the account you just set up and click properties. Click the servers tab then select the box at the bottom "My server requires authentication"



Now go to the advanced tab -- Under the incoming mail part check the box that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" and the number above it should change to 995 (change it yourself if it doesn't).



Do the same for the outgoing mail part but change the number from 25 to 465 yourself

Very simple. You have to become a paying member of Outlook express then only you can use it for sending out the mails.

You need to have Yahoo Mail Plus to send an email. Here is the url to check with:

I have had the same problem until I tried with my hotmail account, then it worked.

ya ,otherwise gmail.com provide pop3 service ^^ so you can use ur outlook express XD
