I am trying to past special>transpose some data. However, I am getting a completely different paste special menu which does not list transpose as an option. I believe it is recognizing my cells as an image though it is not an image. Any help?

That is weird

This paste special should appear when you are copying an Image

- Make sure that you are not copying an image

- And the source you are copying from, is it Excel? or another application?

- Also, make sure that there are no macros running in the back to change that copy process

Excel cell copy will lost if you copy another thing to the clipboard, I guess you know that

Maybe you have accidently copied and pasted cells as an image.

Try a new blnak worksheet as a test. If that does not work try the transpose function

In Excel, the Transpose function returns a transposed range of cells. For example, a horizontal range of cells is returned if a vertical range is entered as a parameter. Or a vertical range of cells is returned if a horizontal range of cells is entered as a parameter.

The syntax for the Transpose function is:

Transpose( range )

range is the range of cells that you want to transpose.

Note:

The range value in the Transpose function must be entered as an array. To enter an array, enter the value and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter. This will place {} brackets around the formula, indicating that it is an array.
