Hi

I am really struggling. I have Vista and have just upgraded to Microsoft Office 2010. I am trying to put avi movies into Powerpoint 2010, they insert but when I press play the whole program freezes?? I have just downloaded Div X to see if it's a codec problem but it still does not work?

I have read that Powerpoint does not work well with Vista and avi files - is this correct? Is there any way I can over come this problem? I really don't want to convert to wmv as I lose quality of the video.

Any advise would be so so much appreciated

Try to convert the .avi video to .wmv format with

Leawo Free FLV Converter (http://www.leawo.com/download/flv-converter/flvconverter_free.exe ) and then reinsert again.

To reach this, You just need to convert the video format.

So that the AVI movies can be played in PowerPoint 2010.

Get a free trial of the program from http://www.downloadvideos-convert.com/download-videos-music

Hope it can help you more or less!

You should be able too,, but I am willing to bet the AVI uses a codec that is not installed on your system. Try downloading DIVX for your computer it comes with a lot of different CODECS that will be installed to allow you to view different AVI formats... Also ITunes comes with Quicktime so try downloading that.
