I have a homework problem in excel that is asking me to create a one-variable table with database functions. There is a column listing categories A,B, & C. Then, another column listing salary averages of those in A,B, & C categories. A last column showing the hire date of each person. The only one-variable data table I've created before and that I see examples on are for housing payments (adjusting the APR to give different monthly payments). In the problem above, I am being asked to create a one-variable data table using database functions (ex: DCOUNT, DAVERAGE) to show the number of employees in each category (A,B,C); the average salary of employees in each of those categories (A,B,C); then the earliest hire date in each category. I can figure out the answer using database functions, but actually putting that into a one-variable table has me stumped. Any help would be appreciated!
I can use Excel 2007 or 2010.
