Use VLC, it's probably the best free media player out there.

iTunes sucks and is just bloatware. It will seriously slow down your PC. Unless you have an iPod, there is no need for it.

if u are hearing songs only WINAMP,

video songs and new divx formats which are not opened in windows media player and winamp... VLC...

and KMP... KMPlayer is also nice .... this will be more useful if u hav trouble with frequent stopage in b/w playing....

for saving playlist in every player there is option of saving playlist.. and also edit that play list any time after saving by opening it again and adding files and deleting files...

hope this is useful..

Windows Media Player is very good. You can also install Real Player (free). I have both on my PC.

To delete the songs you no longer want go to the Music file and delete them. You cannot delete them with Media Player. You have to delete them from where they have been stored.

With Windows Media Player you can also watch all your DVDs in you install the codec pack.

Don't get iTunes. In order to play on that, you'll need to convert to their format.you'll have no disk space left over.It locks up with th Windows operating system. It's bloatware and there are better like the ones I mentioned.

Yep, itunes is free and also really convinient to use. It's compatible with .mp3 files which is what music usually comes in and it's easy to manage files (i.e. add and remove songs). Overall, it's a much better alternative. Hope this helps!

First of all you don't need to have WMP files on your computer cause they are WAAAYYYYY to big and just take up none needed space on your computer. You can easily get programs such as RealPlayer, iTunes, and Limewire/Frostwire (those are free bit torret downloadable programs which is basically stealing music) Frostwire is the better non-virus version. But it's in your best interest to download iTunes because basically the whole world revolves around it now, and I'm sure you have an iPod or MP3 player to use it with. Just get that. The ACC files are almost one-third the size of the WMP files. Also keeps your computer from locking up it eventually will do that if it hasn't.

I agree, itunes is the best for music. Its very nicely organized and can also suggest songs that are similar to your taste. VLC is great for movies and other media files.

WinAmp.

Zune ( I use it cuz I have a Zune, it's amazing, at least for me.)

Macromedia Jukebox (Kinda eats up your RAM, so it'll make your computer slow, but it is free.)
