I want to delete a game that i downloaded called Bioshock and it was working but had a few problems with the graphics. Anyway, I want to delete it but everytime I try to deleter the folder ofr file it says "Cannot delete BIOSHOCK.ISO: it is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again."

I have tried opening and closing the program I used to download it with "Azereus" while deleting it but it still wont delete. I can't move it either.

Any suggestions?

Hi Mike,

Go to:

http://www.freewarefiles.com/programs.php?categoryid=9&subcategoryid=102&ProgramID=13477

and download free program:

Unlocker 1.8.5

Install the small program.

Go to folder of pesky file and right click on it. You will get a context menu with one item new being listed:

UNLOCK or UNLOCKER

Left click on the option.

A window will pop up giving you ability to tell the program to unlock file and even tell you what pgm is lockingi itr.

click UNLOCK and then right click on it again andf hit DELETE and it will go bye bye just like that.

azereus might still be running, make sure you exit it from it in the system tray. if that doesnt work, you can right click the torrent and select 'delete: both' and it will remove all the data. if the folder remains you can either go through your processes and try to find whats using it, OR just restart your computer and delete, THAT always works.

it is the case in all residing house windows os variations. there'll constantly be some documents that are open on a similar time as the OS is runnning. removing those documents will reason the OS to no longer start up. while you're attempting to reinstall the OS then boot from the OS deploy CD and allow it to reformat the HD and reinstall the OS. in the adventure that your purely attempting to sparkling up documents and delete documents you dont know what they are, then you definately would desire to apply warning because of the fact many documents are mandatory. do no longer delete documents in hopes of uninstalling utility. in uncomplicated terms uninstall utility interior the direction of the upload/do away with application.

Maybe you mount it as a virtual CD by Daemon, Nero, Alcohol, and etc. First unmount it and try to delete.
