Okay, let me guess! It poped up right when you wnt to a web site, right?

Malicios software is like bad/virus software. Please note, these are scams, just close the window, and don't go to that site, very simple!

If it isn't this, then you can either email me or IM me for more help!

Window XP and Windows Vista has an automatic update when you go on the internet. Today that "Software Removal Tool" program automatically downloaded to my computer.

Malicious Software Removal Tool June - 2008 is a new program from Microsoft to look for virus programs. Since it will run today, I don't know whether it will run every day. I probably will let it run only once a month.

By default, a new version of the tool will be downloaded from Microsoft every time you retrieve and install their updates (typically, monthly). It scans your system for what it deems to be malicious software (viruses, Trojans, etc.). Although every little bit helps, it's definitely no substitute for a security suite (firewall, anti-virus, and anti-spyware application).

Let it run to completion and then clear out the garbage that it finds.

It's Microsoft's own anti-virus, anti-Trojan, etc., program. It's not the best there is, but it's pretty good. It's definitely not harmful. Unless you absolutely need the full power and speed of your computer right now, just let it finish. (It might run in the background for a few days.)

Your computer is infected and you probable need an anti-virus to get rid of all the infections. Ask your elders to buy one and install on the computer and clean it. The scanner can continue to run. It will also help a little bit

the program is legit. malicious files in easier terms are files that bog your computer down, spyware. Some could be viruses, i'm not really sure. You could always stop the scan and exit out.

Download a registry cleaner - it should sort this problem out.

NEVER buy anything from the internet that you didn't ask for
