hi guys, i wanted to update our direct x but whenever i try to download the update it says the our direct x is already updated but when i try to open a game it says that my direct x is not up to date so i wanted to delete the direct x directly from its save location but i cant find it, is there any way for me to find specific files on my computer like where its save because when i download something i just press OK and don't change the location it saved and now i don't know where to find it, is there any program out there that can help me with this?

If the DirectX update says it's updated, then it is. If the game insists on update, the either it's buggy, or it requires a newer major version. Maybe if you shared what kind of windows you're using and what game you're trying to launch, it would be easier to help.

You can use the Search in Explorer to find any file. Make sure you click on the C: drive to start.

You can run DXDIAG to find what DirectX version you are running.

go to control panel then go to add remove programs you should be able to find it in there.
