One of the problems might be that the software is not designed for that operating system, or the installation package is corrupt. Try to reinstall the software. I would go to the formatting HDD as a last resort.

best thing to do is to do a complete format of your HDD and reinstall windows and then you will get this error again very soon and then u format ur HDD and install windows again .......!
