anyone know how to get around the problem with partitioning with vista? I wanted to avoid using gparted to partition with vista installed due to what I read about errors...
I go to use vista disk shrink, and naturally I get the problem with having 114700 MB but being able to only shrink 28MB. Pathetic. I read that turning off page file is a bad idea in vista, so I defragged, deleted shadow copies, ran disk cleanup, etc... have 28 + something gigabytes free, but every time I run disk shrink, it says 28MB available to shrink... this is regardless of having 29 gigs free. Anyone know a way around this problem, or perhaps a good freeware partitioner that won't screw up my current vista install? i want to dual boot vista and ubuntu

You can install it to run with Windows - without altering your Windows partition. Boot with the latest version, 8.04, and choose Install Ubuntu. Then choose Install Inside Windows.

To get rid of them, i desire to advise making use of DBAN (Derek's Boot and Nuke) to soundly wipe your equipment, and then installation domicile windows 7 many times. it is the main secure thank you to be sure no longer something is left over.
