It is difficult to understand what you have written, but I think I get it. Click on the Trash in your dock, and then in the top-right of the window it should say "Empty". Click that and you should be fine. If that doesn't work, all I can tell you is to restart your computer and see if the issue is resolved.

Best of luck,

The files may be either in use or are corrupted in some form, it the data is only small then i suggest you hide it somewhere deep within a file maze or something and forget it ever existed.

Yet if its large and you cant stand living with it, a fresh install of leopard will work.

Really doesnt matter anyway, Snow Leopard(10.6) comes out in around 2 months time, so you will be needing to do a clean install by then.

This may work on your macbook b/c it was tricky to secure empty trash on my desktop. But hold down the option key while selecting “secure empty trash”

Don't know if you tried Ctrl+click on Trash, select Empty.

you can try ****+Delete after moving the files to trash

Tried restarting? Im not sure if it would help though, maybe its a bug/virus. (yes Macs can get them)
