It is the format of Palm databases, you must use the Palm provided software or make a custom one. You can see it with a hexadecimal viewer too, it will be confused if you do not have experience, otherwise look for something in cnet.com with the key words: "pdb edit windows/linux file palm"

Take a look at the following page. It lists several programmes which may have been used to formulate the files that you've downloaded. I'm afraid you'll have to take a look and try to determine which type of file it is.

pdb is debug information for visual studios. It's only really useful if you're debugging.

ABC Amber Palm Converter is supposed to convert .pdb to .doc. (It is a text form of file.) Don't know anything about the program, just found it mentioned in a forum.
