My VLC videos come out very dark, help please!?

Question

Starting last night for some reason any video I open using VLC media player runs dark, it never did that before. Videos only run dark on VLC and not any of my other media players. Divx, Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, Quicktime, Real Player and QuickPlay media players all render video fine. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and updating to newer version of VLC, nothing I did worked to solve the problem. I really need help on this one, because VLC is my preferred video player and is obviously superior to all other players (prior to this problem).

Obviously, try finding a setting in VLC player to increase your brightness. If that doesn't work then it could be your monitor too. If you see anything related to Gamma settings try raising the Gamma value.

uninstall your vlc player and after reinstall again... to turn back into default am sure it will work perfect that moment you will do that

IF YOU HAVE windows, you should try to do the previous version thing on it
