How do I convert a .tex file to PDF?

I need to convert a .tex file to PDF. The file was created using WinEdt, I have MikTeX, Ghostscript, ghostview, and Abode Reader 9.0 installed in my computer. The file is NOT in DVI format.

I think you need Advanced PDF Converter as it is very good at preserving the formatting, with text content, page layouts, images,and text hyperlinks preserved.It also allow us to convert a lot files at the same time. I am now using it.

Use pdflatex, this should convert it directly to pdf, from the command line you would just type:



pdflatex



(I would think WinEDT has a way of converting it straight to pdf)

I use the PDF maker to make PDF, I will share it with you. You may have a try with the trail version ,too.

It will preserve the text well for you.
