The only solution I know of is to buy a license for Windows 7. The pre-release was not a free copy of W7.
Sorry.

It appears that you installed the Release Candidate for Windows 7. Your computer will begin shutting down without saving your work because the testing period is over. You will have to buy the full version. We can't tell you if a crack exists here, so your only option is to get the full version or to install some other OS.

the BETA will expire in that time. the newer RC (release candidate) wont expire til mid october. you can download the RC from microsoft and perform an upgrade, again you can find info on doing that on the internet. that will mean you wont have to reformat top get back to vista and lose all your stuff. my mid october the full version of Windows 7 is expected to be released for general sale so you shouldnt be without your pc. Plus after the expiry date of the RC it shuts down every two hours instead of leaving you with an un-functional pc.

as others have said, you can either the RTM version, which will also expire in another few months, or you can crack it (not recommended) or just buy Windows 7.
If you are on a multiboot system (a system with multiple operating systems) and you want to un-install Windows 7, have a look at this guide:
Anti-viruses will report a trojan in this program as it is a crack, so here are the steps:
1) Disable Anti-Virus
2) Open File and Crack
3) When completed, delete the file (optional)
4) Do a complete Anti-Virus check just incase (you'll probably not have any threats from the program after you delete it, but just to be on the safe side)
Now you should have a genuine copy of Windows 7 ;).
Goodluck!

uhmmm stop using the RC version of windows 7? to change from RC (release candidate) or RTM (release to manufacturer) versions you must do a clean install. so either buy the full software, find it online, or go back to what you had before, otherwise your computer will turn off every 2 hours once it expires

download a torrent of windows 7 cracked and activate. i also use the same one. its good. and does not expire. moreover you get updates for your product also. so dont wait. go to piratesbay and get your product. its about 2.76Gb. good luck. (dont install avg internet security over windows 7. its hangs the system). use small antiviruses like a squared free and avira personal edition free. update windows defender. in the updates dont update the malocious software removal tool.
